Speakers: Please join us as speakers Dan Buri and Alan Kessler, of GTT Group, give a presentation on creating and locating value in your clients’ patent portfolios. They will provide insight into how to value patents, offer tips for shaping a valuable patent portfolio during prosecution, and overview the current dynamics in the secondary patent marketplace.
Dan Buri and Alan Kessler are Directors of Asset Services at GTT Group, a Portland-based IP services company that assists clients with patent divestment, patent acquisition, patent valuation, and patent portfolio analysis and management. Dan manages all aspects of client engagements and focuses on best practices for patent valuation and transactions. He received a B.S. in Engineering Management from the University of Portland and a J.D. from Lewis and Clark College, Northwestern School of Law. Alan is responsible for GTT Group’s patent analysis processes and manages GTT Group’s subject matter experts. Prior to joining GTT Group, Alan worked as a patent and trademark litigation associate with Knobbe, Martens, Olson & Bear in San Diego, before starting a solo practice in the Seattle Area. Alan holds a B.A. in Physics from Reed College and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
