Update on IP Administrative Proceedings – Trademark Expungements and Copyright Claims Board
Speakers: Please join us as Elliott Williams and Brian Bollt present on the Copyright Claims Board and Trademark Expungements. In 2020, Congress passed the Copyright Alternative in Small-Claims Enforcement (CASE) Act, which authorized the Copyright Claims Board, and the Trademark Modernization Act (TMA) of 2020, which authorized Trademark Expungements and Reexaminations for federally registered marks. This presentation covers how the new administrative procedures work and how they fit into broader IP registration and enforcement strategies.
Elliott Williams and Brian Bollt are each attorneys in the Portland office of Stoel Rives LLP, with a focus on litigation in the Technology and Intellectual Property group.
MCLE Credit: Applying for one (1) general credit from the Oregon State Bar and Washington State Bar. CLE accreditation approval can take 2-6 weeks or longer depending on the jurisdiction.
