Speaker: Please join us as IP litigator Sarah Jelsema walks us through the statutory rules, as well as relevant equitable doctrines, for timely-filed patent, copyright, trademark, and trade secret claims.
Sarah focuses her practice on intellectual property litigation. She primarily works on appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, post-grant proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and patent cases before the district courts.
Sarah has represented clients in disputes relating to utility patents, design patents, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets. She has experience in a wide range of technical fields, including software, medical devices, consumer products, payment systems, and power grid systems. She has also assisted clients in obtaining patents, copyright registrations, and trademark registrations.
Sarah joined Klarquist in 2016, after clerking for the Honorable Jimmie V. Reyna on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Before her clerkship, Sarah primarily practiced intellectual property litigation. She also assisted clients in obtaining intellectual property protection and prepared software licenses, assignments, and other agreements relating to intellectual property.
