The Oregon State Bar Intellectual Property Section will host a visit from the USPTO for its Patent Quality Forum Series on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 from 3 pm until 6 pm in the Lipman Wolfe AB room at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco Portland 506 SW Washington, Portland OR 97204. We are pleased to host senior executives from the USPTO to join us for a discussion about their Enhanced Patent Quality Initiative (EPQI) and its programs, such as the Clarity of the Record Pilot and Quality Metrics. The Forum presentations and panel discussion will focus on the latest achievements of the EPQI programs, options to participate in current quality programs, and sharing ideas about enhancing patent quality. We encourage anyone interested in the patent system, especially those involved with patent prosecution, litigation, and licensing, to attend.
In addition to the talks listed below, we will hold a panel discussion featuring members of the Portland IP community and USPTO members. The USPTO will also provide a demonstration of USPTO resources for enhanced patent quality.
