Speakers: Please join us as Julie Reed from Miller Nash Graham & Dunn gives a presentation on a review of the current status of IP protection available to the cannabis industry, including patents, federal and state trademark issues, and other considerations.

Starting as a patent agent at Texas Instruments, Julie learned patent prosecution by working with attorneys at the leading edges of licensing and litigation, learning how to write effective patents for both. Leaving TI after becoming a patent attorney and spending several years protecting TI’s DLP® technology as the Intellectual Property Strategy Manager, she served as the first in-house patent counsel at Sharp Labs of America. Prior to joining Miller Nash Graham & Dunn, Julie worked at Marger Johnson for over fifteen years and served two separate terms as President of the firm.
